Applying to BBS

Application to BBS is through the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) - make sure to select Division of Medical Sciences and then BBS as you progress through the site. Follow the below instructions to ensure your application routes to the Biological and Biomedical Sciences PhD Program.

 

Selecting the BBS Program on the GSAS Application

 

After starting a GSAS application, you will see a page list on the left-hand side. Click on "Program Selection" in order to choose BBS as your program.

 

 

Once on the Program Selection page, select "Division of Medical Sciences" as your program from the drop down menu.

 

 

Then select "Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS)" as your subject from the drop down list.

 

From this point you should complete the rest of the GSAS application. Make sure to have scanned documents ready to upload when prompted. For additional help with the GSAS Application, click here.

The application for Fall 2017 matriculation is now live and can be found here. The deadline for submitting the application and supporting materials is December 1, 2016 5:00 pm est.

Items uploaded to the online application:

  • Completed online application
  • Statement of Purpose
  • CV
  • GRE Scores - student copy
  • TOEFL Scores (if applicable) - student copy
  • Transcripts - official copy
  • Certificates & other pertinent information (if applicable)
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • $105 application Fee
